Aquatic Animal and Plant Life

1

First off we have to remember that our interaction with the aquatic environment is a privilege and responsibility. With this we want to minimize our impact on the diving environment by making sure that our interaction has no negative consequences, such as touching corals or disturbing local marine life.

With aquatic animals we must realize that most of these animals are timid and harmless to us, but defensively may hurt us in protecting themselves. Never tease or harass aquatic animals and avoid such things as feeding that can make some animals more aggressive. If aggressive animals are sighted, then watch them cautiously and exit the water if deemed necessary. When spear fishing, make sure to remove speared fish from the water immediately and respect local fish game laws.
